Comparison

How does GenZAgents compare to Claude Projects?

Claude Projects is Anthropic's memory + context layer for Claude. It's excellent at Claude-side continuity; non-portable to other providers. GenZAgents is the cross-provider receipts + governance layer; we don't replace Claude Projects for in-Claude UX.

Claude Projects' scope

Persistent context for a Claude conversation. Attached documents. Memory of prior turns. Custom system prompt. All within the Claude ecosystem. Excellent at what it does for Claude users.

The lock-in story

Same as ChatGPT Memory: Claude Projects don't port to ChatGPT or Gemini. The institutional memory builds inside Claude; switching costs accrue. Anthropic profits from this; they won't ship cross-provider portability.

How GenZAgents fits

Use Claude Projects for in-Claude continuity. Use GenZAgents for cross-provider receipts + portable manifest. When you need to move work from Claude to ChatGPT: the receipts + memory snapshots make it possible. Without us: the Claude Project stays in Claude forever.

Enterprise scaling

For organisations: Claude Projects scale poorly across team transitions. New hires can't inherit prior Projects easily. GenZAgents agent transfer fills that gap — the Claude Project becomes part of the inherited identity.

Audit + governance gap

Claude Projects has no audit trail visible to your org's compliance team. GenZAgents receipts fill the gap: every Claude Project session can emit receipts (via the MCP server) that your compliance team can query, audit, and roll into evidence packs.

When to use which

Use Claude Projects for the engineer's daily UX in Claude. Use GenZAgents for the org-wide governance + cross-provider story. Most enterprise Claude users add GenZAgents within 6 months of starting heavy Claude usage.
